Children often find prime numbers really confusing. Once they realise how to work out if a number is prime it makes more sense.
They need to remember that a prime number has only 2 factors - 1 and itself. Other key things to remember is that 1 is not prime as it only has 1 factor, and the only even prime number is 2.
