Number Facts

This image shows all the number facts that a child should have quick recall of by the time they get to year 2. The year 2 facts are in the little box to the bottom of the chart and all the rest of the facts are for year 1. If they have quick recall of these facts it gives the children the best chance of becoming fluent in their calculations further on in their learning.

In our school we have developed a great system where by children can start collecting cards when they have quick recall of their number facts. We wanted to develop a system where the children were keen to develop their fluency in maths and would work at home towards this. You can have a look at this system here and buy the system here.
